Not only due to the increasing tendency of having a beautiful and attractive smile. Spotless teeth are meant to be a symbol of health and success, underlining each individual’s self-confidence. According to the saying, that many ways lead to Rome, the aesthetic treatment concepts are as different as the specific oral situations and requirements. Therefore, the patients’ needs, and objectives should be exactly determined in detail prior to the start of a specific treatment protocol.

On the one hand, a user’s key requirement is, to have an open and unrestricted access to the treatment area. On the other hand, patients are seeking for enhanced treatment comfort, without being faced with muscle fatigue and anxiety. Seeming to be quite contradictory, these demands commonly cannot be met in an easy way. Very often, there are disrupting elements in the way and the appropriate retraction of all soft tissues can turn out to be genuinely challenging for all parties involved.

User report by Jacques Nicolas Grebowiec Minimally invasive and aesthetic dentistry is becoming increasingly important —especially in the anterior region. Healthy, white teeth play a key role in self-esteem and social acceptance of patients. Considering this, the discoloration of one or more teeth in the frontal region becomes particularly noticeable and may have a psychological impact on the patient.

Clinicians are familiar with the development of a white line at the junction between composite and tooth structure. Often, the resin looks excellent when initially placed, and then the white line appears after finishing.

While we all do our best to maintain good dental hygiene, a long dental procedure is nearly inevitable. The cheek retractors needed for lengthy chair time—and the resulting anxiety, muscle fatigue, and pinching—are just not up to the task. There are a lot of patients who can finally opt for a better experience.
